After some thirty plus years in the television sport’s broadcast industry, Ian Sweet is now producing an annual documentary primarily for Vermont PBS concerning interesting topics in Vermont. These include Mad Music, (https://vimeo.com/271727251) which looked at why the Mad River Valley is such a great place for music and musicians, Beerology: Vermont IPA, (https://vimeo.com/298697792) which delved into the history of the India Pale Ale and how it has evolved here in Vermont, the Vermont Distillery industry Vermont Distilled, (https://vimeo.com/375822695),   Ciderology Vermont hard Pressed (https://vimeo.com/474360602/d74d1a5e46), and Salmon of the Clyde River, (https://vimeo.com/769246955). The latest is The Green River Reservoir, (https://vimeo.com/957888948),  which premiered on VT PBS on September 19th, 2024 at 8PM.

 

Dan William Reicher is an American lawyer who was U.S. Assistant Secretary of Energy for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy at the U.S. Department of Energy in the Clinton Administration. As an avid supporter of renewable energy, especially wind power, Dan has authored numerous articles on the subject. One particular article for Vermont Public, Reicher: Grampa’s Knob 75th Anniversary, (https://www.vermontpublic.org/programs/2016-10-19/reicher-grampas-knob-75th-anniversary), is about a mountain in Vermont called Grandpa’s Knob, where in 1941 the world’s first megawatt-scale wind turbine was connected to the electric grid, generating power for thousands in the Champlain Valley below. Dan comes on board as the producer.
